Clinical Approach and Specialties

Clinical Approach

Clinical Approach

I am frequently asked by new patients which approach I use in my practice.  Based on my clinical experience, I find there is no “one size fits all” approach.

I recognize that individuals come to therapy for different reasons and have different needs.  In general, I take a psychodynamic approach but also view the work from an interpersonal perspective. When needed, I may offer cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.  I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and will be respectful and interested in all that you bring to our conversations.

I am happy to discuss my views in greater depth during our initial meeting.
